The Local Government stakeholders deliberated on a number of issues about the way forward for the party and the APC led government in the State and came up with the following resolutions:
1. That we are happy, pleased and proud of the numerous impactful developmental projects spread across the 16 local governments and particularly, the ongoing “New Ado -Iyin road”, “Ilupeju-Ire-Igbemo-Ijan road”, renovation of schools, social security programs for elders (Owo arugbo, Ounje Arugbo), water projects, youth and women empowerment, agricultural development especially the agro- allied cargo airport, industrialisation, security of lives and property and many others that touch our Local Government, in addition to promoting core Ekiti cultural and moral values.
Considering the impact of Governor’s performance and people oriented projects and programs being implemented under his stewardship, we therefore by unanimous voice pass a vote of confidence on Governor John Kayode Fayemi for his commitment, selflessness, patriotism, and leadership roles in national politics and for putting Ekiti on national and international limelight for good and positive reasons
2. That we equally acknowledge and commend our leader, “Gomina Agba” and the Minister of Trade,Industry and Investment, Otunba Niyi Adebayo for his sterling quality as a leading rallying point in strengthening our party/government in Ekiti State and for his outstanding performance as the serving Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria .
3. That we are solidly in support of Barrister Paul Omotoso led state Executives committee at State, Local Government and Ward levels. We therefore reaffirm our confidence and trust in them to continue with their constitutional duties as entrusted in them without fear or favour.
4. That the unity of our party in the local government is sacrosanct and to this end, a reconciliation committee has been put in place to listen to any aggrieved individuals towards bringing all members together to work for the unity and progress of the party in our local government.
5. That the Wards and local government chapter of the party shall continue to hold meetings regularly and abide by the new Code of Conduct as directed by the leadership of the party in the state. To this end, the APC Code of Conduct Committee (Irepodun-Ifelodun LGA chapter) has been put together to ensure compliance.
