Erelu Fayemi Commissions Yinka Ayefele's Radio Station "Fresh Fm" In Ado

The wife of Ekiti State Governor, Erelu Bisi Fayemi today commissioned a new radio broadcasting station Fresh FM 106.9, in Ado-Ekiti, owned by a popular music producer and gospel singer, Yinka Ayefele.
Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, Erelu Fayemi commended Mr. Ayefele for siting the radio station in his home State, noting that establishing the station in the State, would help boost development.
The wife of the Governor stressed the importance of proper information dissemination to good governance, and pledged her full support for the running, growth and development of the radio station.
She also lauded the contribution of Ayefele and the new station to the campaign against Gender Based Violence (GBV), through sponsoring of sensitization programmes on GBV, adding that the good gestures of Mr Ayefele are worthy of emulation.
In his remarks, the State Commissioner for Information and Values Orientation, Aare Muyiwa Olumilua, lauded the contributions of the distinguished musician, to potentiate efforts of the State Government at curbing unemployment through creation of job opportunities in the State, noting that over 90% of staff of the radio station are indigenes of the State.

The Commissioner, however charged the station to be objective in disseminating information, stressing the need to always be ethical and truthful.

Assuring that the State Government would continue to support the contribution of the private sector to boost efforts at developing the State, Aare Olumilua called on well to do individuals and cooperate organisations, to emulate the gestures of Mr Ayefele, adding that the State is very conducive, and business friendly.

The CEO of Fresh FM radio station, Mr. Yinka Ayefele, expressed gratitude to the State Governor for providing a favourable environment for business to thrive in the State.

Mr. Ayefele explained that the objectives of setting up the radio station is to give back to the society, support the people, protect the right of women and children, as well as promote education.

Ayefele, however solicited for the continued support of the state government towards achieving a mutually benefiting relationship, and the  success of the station.

Dignitaries present at the commissioning are Commissioner For Arts, Culture and Tourism, Professor Rasaki Bakare, SSA to the Governor on Arts, Culture, and Tourism, Ambassador Wale Ojo Lanre, and Executive members of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ekiti and Oyo State Chapters.
