The chairman Ekiti state House of Assembly Commission, Rt. Hon Olatunbosun Taiwo Franklin has congratulates Muslim brothers in Ekiti state and Nigeria at large as they end the Ramadan fast.
Olatunbosun in a statement culled from his official facebook page invigorate Muslim brothers to always remember the teachings from Ramadan that encourages Zakat as the world battles the Corona virus pandemic.
"On a special day like this, Let the teachings from Ramadan that practices self-discipline, self-control, sacrifice, and empathy not depart from us particularly to those who are less fortunate. Let's encourage actions of generosity and compulsory charity(zakat)" he wrote on his Facebook page.
Ramadan is the ninth month in the Islamic calendar, which is a lunar calendar based on the cycles of the moon. It started on the 23rd of April and ended on Saturday, 23rd of May, 2020.
