Wickedness: Woman Tied Up Son in Sack , Left in the Wardrobe for four Days in Osun

There was perpetual panic in Fesojaye community, Owoade, along Ilesa road, Osun State, as a woman, identified as Iya Ayo reportedly tied her son, Ayo in sacks for four days for allegedly stealing and possessing evil spirit.


According to sources the woman tied the boy’s hands and legs and threw him into three-sack since Thursday.

The boy, who was about 10 years old, was said to be crying for help on Sunday when a neighbour fumigating beside the building heard his voice.

Rather than entering the building to assist the boy, the neighbour went to the community leader’s house to inform him of the development and was told to inform the Police.

The matter was incidented at the Oke-Baale police station in Osogbo, where a police officer was detailed to the community and ensure that the mother was excused from the Celestial Church she attends to the house, where the boy was freed.


Evidence from the video clip of the incident showed that the boy was weak when he was freed from the sack as resident of the community rain curses on the woman for the way she treated the boy.

The woman referred to as Iya Ayo was also heard saying the boy had frustrated her, hence, the treatment meted to him. “Why would Ayo be stealing from people, he has frustrated me, he is possessed by evil spirit. I am right to have treated him that way”, she said.

Chairman of the community, Alfa Shakiru Gbadegesin, confirmed the incident.

The boy’s mother was said not to relate much with anybody in the community.

Gbadegesin said when the woman was away at a church her neighbour was wondering what could be happening inside the house.


He said, “They came to me and I ordered them to report at Oke Baale police station which they did and from there, the police picked the woman up from the church so that she could open her toor for police to see what was wrong.

“She opened the door and police found the boy tied up inside her wardrobe. When the boy was untied, he appeared so pale that we had to give him milk. If we did not intervene on time the body would be died.

She was arrested by the police.

At the station, they asked her why she tied up her child and put him in a wardrobe, and she said the boy was possessed and stole a lot.

The police also asked her if the boy had a father. She said that the boy was three months old when the father wanted to use him for money ritual and she had to run from the father.


He continued, “The police told us that they had to do further investigation into the matter and we all had to leave the station. But in the evening on Sunday, she came back home from the police station with the boy.

“The woman’s pastor told us that she had been warned by police.
